Black Friday Chromebook deals 2015
Office Depot, OfficeMax Black Friday 2015 ad includes $90 Windows tablet, $95 Chromebook deals. Black Friday Chromebook deals 2015.
Unlike the Black Friday ads leaked this week from Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, and Target, the one just put online from Office Depot/OfficeMax has no deals on iPads, but it does have an interesting twist for tablet buyers. Prognosticators expected some Windows slates to sell for as little as $100 (or far less), but they’ve been in short supply thus far. Until now.
The Office Depot/OfficeMax merged chain will be offering a 10.1-inch Toshiba Encore with 32GB of storage for a mere $89.99 when its doors open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving. While that price is very aggressive, note that it runs Windows 8.1 and not the new Windows 10 (which may not necessarily be a bad thing). Staying in the sub-$100 realm, the retailer also has a deal on an 11.6-inch Acer Chromebook for $94.99, or about $4 less than what Best Buy will be charging for a similar model (and much less than last year’s special).
The same Black Friday soothsayers also anticipated some $100 Windows 10 laptops, but Office Depot/OfficeMax doesn’t quite deliver. It does come close, however, with a 14-inch Toshiba notebook featuring an Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage for $119.99, which is $80 cheaper than the current price. If you’d prefer an HP, the 14-ac159er comes with similar specs and will be just $5 more when the deal becomes available starting at 8 a.m. on Black Friday. A final sub-$200 Windows 10 laptop special is the 15.6-inch Dell Inspiron 3000, one of the rare Black Friday notebooks we’ve seen so far that uses an AMD processor (the A6) instead of an Intel CPU. It also includes 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive for $199.99.
Office Depot/OfficeMax have a pair of trendy convertible tablets, or 2-in-1 laptops, or whatever you want to call them, as Black Friday deals. One is the budget-friendly HP x360 (Celeron CPU, 2 gigs of RAM, 32GB of storage, 11.6-inch touchscreen) for $249.99 (a $50 savings), while the other is the beefier Dell Inspiron 13 7000 (Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, 13.3-inch touchscreen) for $549.99 ($70 less than the current price). For the same price as the Inspiron 13 7000, you can go even more powerful with a Core i7 Toshiba Satellite with 12 gigs of memory, terabyte hard drive, and 15.6-inch display, though that price includes a $50 mail-in rebate.
The best Windows 10 desktop price isn’t as aggressive as the $119.99 laptop, but for $169.99 you can grab a Lenovo Slimline with AMD E1 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive for $130 lower than normally. You could choose the Lenovo H50 system instead with an AMD A8 processor, 8 gigs of memory, and 1TB hard drive for $299.99 ($200 off), or an HP Envy desktop with AMD A10, 12GB of RAM, and two terabytes of hard drive space for $479.99 ($120 less than the current price). Those preferring an all-in-one PC can choose between the Lenovo C40 (21.5-inch touchscreen, AMD A6 processor, 8 gigs of RAM, terabyte hard drive) for $399.99 or an HP Pavilion (23-inch touchscreen, AMD A8 processor, 4GB of memory, 1TB hard drive) for $499.99.
